Patti Dolan is committed to helping investors align their investments with their personal values. With 39 years of investment experience, Patti started focusing on Responsible Investing (RI) in 1995, and is now one of Canada’s top RI experts.
As the team’s Chief Ethics Officer, Patti ensures the companies we hold are conducting best practices. She provides expertise in evaluating companies based on their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria. She is also our shareholder advocate. She votes all client shares in a way that best supports sustainable best practices and strong governance.
Patti is committed to educating investors, institutional stewards, and the public about Responsible Investing. She is a keynote speaker, panel moderator, panelist, emcee, presenter, task force participant, and participant. She currently teaches a Social Finance class at Ambrose University.
Community involvement is part of the foundation of Patti’s life. In the past, she has served Soroptimist International, a global organization for business and professional women that focuses on improving the lives of women and girls. Patti participated in a study tour to Rwanda, attended sessions at the United Nations in New York, and reviewed companies for the UN Global Compact. She also held executive positions with the Alpine Club of Calgary, specifically as Access and Environment Chair, and served on the Calgary Area Outdoor Council and was a member of the University of Calgary’s Sustainable Investment Committee.
Patti is now Secretary for the Responsible Investment Association of Canada, Board Member of Vibrant Communities Calgary. She is also a member of REAP, a Calgary sustainable business association and the Conference Board of Canada Leadership Faculty at the Corporate Sustainability Institute.
A mother of two successful young men, Patti now enjoys spending time in the mountains, traveling, commuting by bike, swimming, volunteering, walking her dog Molly, and being with her partner, Ken.
