Creative Industries Renewable Energy & Green Economy
Years in Current
In 2013, Leor Rotchild hit the eject button on a successful oil and gas career to become an eco-preneur, smashing together his love for music festivals and the environment to create a boutique environmental services company called DIG, which caters to major arts, culture, sporting events and conferences.
Leor consults to the Energy Futures Lab - a multi-stakeholder process to develop an energy transition strategy for Alberta. He also serves on the Board of Directors for TEDxYYC and Connecting Environmental Professionals (CEP) as well as the Advisory Committee to the Institute for Environmental Sustainability at Mount Royal University.
Leor prides himself on being an active member of Calgary's growing social enterprise community and DIG is a proud member of REAP, which works with other locally owned businesses to green Calgary's economy.
"Calgary is in the midst of an incredible transition, which spells opportunity for anyone with new ideas who is willing to work hard and take the time to build meaningful relationships."
