Elaine's Story

Elaine Cadrin started CadCan Marketing & Sales Inc. in 1999.  It is a family business that focuses on creating the healthiest, safest potato and wheat snacks possible for people who care about what they eat.  CadCan Marketing & Sales Inc. produces Cheecha Puffs in a BRC food safety certified warehouse that is completely peanut and tree nut free.

Cadrin, who is a snacker, says that because CheeCha Puffs are hot air puffed, they allow you to enjoy all the crunch you want while not having to feel any guilt associated with high fat snacks.  She has been guided in developing new flavors by weight watchers groups, celiac associations and diabetics. However, she firmly believes that snacking should be fun and unless snacks taste great it won't be a repeated experience. CadCan Marketing & Sales Inc. began in Calgary, Alberta in 1999.  Elaine and her family have lived in Calgary since 1995.

Why Calgary?

"Calgary was a great place to start my company because there are so many farmers markets to use as test sites. The people of Calgary like to support local companies and it is a large enough city to make this have a substantial impact on a startup company."
